School Sanitation Ikotoilet for schools is a transformative idea that aims to address sanitation governance, investments and sustainability in Kenya. Ecotact Donation to E.A Breweries LTD. In honour of commitment to reach out to the needy, Ecotact C.E.O Mr. David Kuria hands a cheque to EABL Foundation specifically to go towards the Kenyans for Kenya initiative.
The Global Handwashing Day 18, 302 children, 1,050 adults, 40,000 litres of water, 23,000 bars of soap, and a leap into history by breaking Guinness World Record for most people washing hands at the same place, at the same time in 2010.

The Dubai International Award for Best Practices (DIABP) The 10 Dubai International Award for Best Practices winners and 2 Best Practice Transfer Award winners were selected from 384 nominees from more than 60 countries worldwide. The award recognizes initiatives that help improve the living environment. The Dubai International Award- For best Practices is a significant achievement for Kenya and the entire African continent in stimulating Public-Private-Partnerships for the public good and emphasizing the fundamental role of government in providing an enabling environment for social service delivery system.
Dubai International Best Practice Award The Chief Executive Officer receives the Dubai International Award - For best practices to improve the living environment from the 1st Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.Ecotact  Kenya emerged one of the 10 winners. Ecotact was recognised for its outstanding contributions to improving the living environment and for the impact on improving people’s quality of life. Ecotact invests in innovations as a clear drive towards sustainable social interventions.

Mr. David Kuria

Mr. Kuria is the Co-founder and our CEO. He is an architect by profession. David Kuria is a Kenyan Ashoka Fellow, the winner of The Schwab Foundation's Africa Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2009: the first person to get such an award in sub-Saharan Africa and a 2008 winner of Global Water Challenge. He is also the Cluster Leader- USAID/FABRI - Blue Revolution.

Dr. Kamithi Ng'ang'a

Dr. Ng'ang'a is the Administrative Director/Chairman. He is an environmental sociologist, a registered environmental specialist; with over 30 year's experiences in the sector.

Caroline Gatwiri

Gatwiri is the Project Officer responsible for Managing and training of Iko-toilet staff. She is qualified in Project Planning and Management with a wide experience in project management.

Anthony Mutuku

Anthony is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA K). He holds a higher diploma in business management from Kenya Institute of Management and is currently pursuing CISA.

Martin Muriithi

Martin is the Project Officer (Technical Services). He holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Nairobi.

Carol Mugure

Mugure is the Project Officer (School Sanitation). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology.

Joan Ngare

Joan is the Marketing/Communications Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Serah Njambi

Serah Njambi is Ecotact’s IT consultant. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

 

Joseph Katie

Katie is the Project Officer (Urban Development). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Maths and a Diploma in Community Development.

 

Mr. James Ngambi

James is the company driver.
