In Kenya, social and economic activities are being interrupted by water crisis brought about by droughts, poor management of water supply, under investment, unfair allocation of water, rampant deforestation, pollution of water supplies by untreated sewage, and a huge population explosion thirty fold increases since 1900. Investment in safe drinking water and sanitation contributes to economic growth. Ecotact aims to venture in to a water model initiative, which will be based on the aspect of a water mole. Its implementation will strive to achieve objectives such as: providing convenient, clean and sustainable water services to urban and peri-urban, creating employment opportunities for youth; conserving health and hygiene of the public; influencing a policy shift in the governance of municipalities in relation to the provision of water services; transforming, restoring and ensuring sustainability in management of safe water in our communities. The goal of the project is to improve periurban communities
