Ecotact Donation to E.A Breweries LTD. In honour of commitment to reach out to the needy, Ecotact C.E.O Mr. David Kuria hands a cheque to EABL Foundation specifically to go towards the Kenyans for Kenya initiative.
The Global Handwashing Day 18, 302 children, 1,050 adults, 40,000 litres of water, 23,000 bars of soap, and a leap into history by breaking Guinness World Record for most people washing hands at the same place, at the same time in 2010.

The Dubai International Award for Best Practices (DIABP) The 10 Dubai International Award for Best Practices winners and 2 Best Practice Transfer Award winners were selected from 384 nominees from more than 60 countries worldwide. The award recognizes initiatives that help improve the living environment. The Dubai International Award- For best Practices is a significant achievement for Kenya and the entire African continent in stimulating Public-Private-Partnerships for the public good and emphasizing the fundamental role of government in providing an enabling environment for social service delivery system.
Dubai International Best Practice Award The Chief Executive Officer receives the Dubai International Award - For best practices to improve the living environment from the 1st Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.Ecotact  Kenya emerged one of the 10 winners. Ecotact was recognised for its outstanding contributions to improving the living environment and for the impact on improving people’s quality of life. Ecotact invests in innovations as a clear drive towards sustainable social interventions.

About Us

Ecotact is a Social enterprise that invests in Innovations to solve sanitation crisis in Africa and beyond. Ecotact was founded in 2006 and a started operation in 2007. It is driven by the local need to improve urban and urban-rural environment through investment in environmentally responsive projects, including sanitation facilities in urban, schools and low-income settlements. The concept concentrates on optimizing social responsiveness as well as ecological systems such as Low water sanitation systems, which will reduce water consumption and increase human waste recovery in terms of energy (methane) and nutrients (nitrates and Phosphates). Ecotact has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. Its incorporation followed several years of research, global exploration and social interactions.

The Ikotoilet- Thinking beyond a toilet is the flagship project of Ecotact. Ikotoilet aims at offering sustainable transformation of urban sanitation interventions in Kenya and beyond.

The Ikotoilet has developed a toilet mall concept to optimize the value of sanitation and provide a sound revenue stream and thus help in subsiding the sanitation aspect..
